In the early days of Vulpine, founder Colin Boyd was picked up by the Portland, Maine Creative Agency, KINGSPØKE, originally as a hired gun to produce a number of robust client projects on behalf of the agency.
As part of the Sperry Account, Colin single handedly produced shoots in Nova Scotia, the White Mountains of New Hampshire, Monhegan Island in Maine and Coastal California.
These were all tight budgets, small camera teams and relied heavily on the producer to ensure the creative story arc was being captured with authenticity and was compelling. The talent and the production team also relied heavily ont he Producer to ensure a smooth transition in and out of the numerous locations on every shoot.

ODYSSEY PROJECT
GRAIN SURFBOARDS
Not only was I the lead creator of this proejct, but also the sole producer, responsible for covering this international shoot as one of my first big projects for the Kingspoke Agency. We followed the crew around the nooks and crannies of Nova Scotia to tell an authentic story of friendship, travel, adventure and craftsmanship.

ODYSSEY PROJECT
RYAN TATAR
As the next leg of this project we (Vulpine Prodcutions) were hired by the agency KINGSPØKE to travel to San Francisco and tell a story about Ryan Tatar. We rented a prop VW van and had a mean itinerary to travel the PCH north of San Francisco, but late on our prep day, the tranny blew out on the van and I (Colin) coasted down one of those mega SF hills in reverse to safety. We quickly pivoted to a new vehicle and story line starting a few hours later with our talent who was only hired for 1.5 days.

ODYSSEY PROJECT
BOYD x FORD
For our final portion of this series, we lost our subjects and pivoted in a hurry. Both Ford and Boyd (me) were winter sports athletes training for elite winter events later that winter. We produced a story capturing the life of an adventure sports athlete, the training, the dedication and the mindset that’s required to succeed.
